Who & Why
Who we are, and why are, are kind of the same thing. We have a deep passion for open-source software, APIs, and bringing some humanity back to the software experience for developers and users alike.
Cybersecurity is a hot topic. Major media reports of computer attacks and data breaches are now common. There is active debate about the value of biometrics (fingerprints, eye scans) to identify users. A number of companies offer solutions to manage passwords. Many vendors offer “Single Sign-On” to access thousands of online services with a single set of credentials.
One fundamental aspect of cybersecurity, however, gets scant attention: Access Control. While everyone worries about who can get in, many neglect what folks can do once inside. But most security issues start with the use of legitimate credentials: a disgruntled employee, human error, or a stolen ID/password. Our mission is to create manageable solutions to this growing problem.
