Who & Why
Who we are, and why are, are kind of the same thing. We have a deep passion for open-source software, APIs, and bringing some humanity back to the software experience for developers and users alike.
Cybersecurity is a very hot topic. It seems that twice a month, major media report how a big online company was attacked, user accounts compromised, private data made public. There is a rich and active debate about the value of biometrics (fingerprints, eye scans) to identify users. A number of companies offer solutions to manage passwords. Google and Facebook are competing head-on to offer universal user identification (also known as “Single Sign-On”) to access thousands of online services with a single identifier and password. Many companies offer Intrusion Detection and Monitoring to identify and mitigate coordinated attacks to computer infrastructure.
One fundamental aspect of cybersecurity, however, gets surprisingly little attention: Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
